Growing up in a family where women cooked the old-fashioned way, Teri Bell (aka Miss Sophie) is no stranger to the kitchen. So, it seems only natural that Teri would decide to open a business doing what she loves the most – feeding hungry people!
Armed with the fool-proof recipes from her Grandmother, Mother, Aunt, and a few good friends she opened Miss Sophie's Marketplace, along with her husband Steve, almost 8 years ago. Many of those recipes are still in use today.
When Miss Sophie's initially opened its doors casseroles and salads were the only products for sale. Since then Miss Sophie's has expanded to a full-service restaurant inside the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force, launched a successful catering business."Delicious food, prepared in a clean environment with wholesome ingredients, and served with Southern hospitality and charm", are the reasons Teri cites for the success and growth of Miss Sophie's.
Whether you are looking for a healthier alternative to fast foods or just in a pinch Miss Sophies provides the perfect solution. We are the working mother's answer to balancing a busy schedule! We keep a large selection of casseroles in Family, Just For Two and Individual sizes. Our casseroles are "ready to bake". Most have a cooking time of 30-45 minutes.
Miss Sophie's was voted "Best Caterer" by the readers of Pooler Today in 2017. We offer professional, delicious catering for any event, from picnics to black tie affairs for 300.
